Frequently Asked Questions for Newborn Sessions:
1. I just found out I'm pregnant, when do I book a session with you?
I book newborn sessions 6 months in advance. If you are more than 16 weeks pregnant, let's book a session!
2. How do I book a session date if I don't know when the baby will be delivered?
I hold a tentative spot for you in my calendar. To schedule a session in advance of delivery, I will ask you for your due date and a $50 deposit/retainer (the deposit will be applied to your session fee or package). Once your baby is born, we schedule the actual date of the session. Of course, babies come early or late, and that's expected. Once you're in my calendar, you're set.
3. I just had my baby, can you get me in?
Let's try! Contact me and I'll let you know if I have availability. I hold a few open days a month for last minute sessions.
4. Do I need to bring props and clothing?
You don't need to bring anything. I have everything needed for the session: wraps, hats, buckets, blankets, etc. If you saw it on my website, I have it.
5. Can I bring props for the session?
Absolutely. Please let me know in advance so I can plan it into your session.
6. Do you do outdoor sessions or in-home sessions?
For now, I only hold newborn sessions in my studio.
7. Do you take credit card?
Yes, I take credit card, check or cash.
8. How much experience do you have with newborns?
I am exclusively a newborn and baby photographer. I see 3 or more newborns a week! I have attended multiple training classes on newborn photography and newborn safety seminars. I take the safety of your newborn very seriously. Each pose I do is done with safety in mind. I have trained with the best newborn photographers in the business to learn how to safely execute each pose. On top of all that, I am a mother to two beautiful children.
Please let me know if you have any additional questions. I may even add the question to this list!
Once your session is scheduled, I will send you additional detailed information about the session: a tip sheet, newborn registration, and studio information.
