Studio sessions for babies 3–12 months designed to document your baby’s incredible first year.

As a Boston baby photographer specializing in milestone sessions, I focus on capturing your baby’s personality at every stage — from tummy time to sitting independently to that first birthday celebration. Many families who first visit the studio for newborn photography return for milestone sessions throughout the year as their baby grows and changes.

Sessions take place in my Framingham studio, where backdrops and props are intentionally minimal so your baby remains the star. With access to a large closet of photo-ready clothing sized 3–18 months, planning is simple — all you need to bring is your baby.

Your Baby’s Milestone Session Experience

From the moment you arrive at the studio, everything is ready for your baby.

Milestone sessions are relaxed and built around your child’s personality that day. Some babies are full of giggles. Some are observant and quiet. We work with who they are in that moment, not against it.

With over a decade of experience photographing babies throughout their first year, I know how quickly expressions shift and how to capture them naturally. These sessions are short enough to keep your baby happy, but long enough to create a beautiful variety of images.

Most sessions last 30-40 minutes. There’s time for outfit changes and quick breaks if needed, but we keep things moving so your baby stays engaged.

The studio is fully prepared with simple backdrops, a curated wardrobe for babies 3–18 months, and everything needed for a smooth experience.

BABY MILESTONE SESSION PACKAGES

Classic Milestone Session - $495

30 minute session. Up to 2 backdrop colors. 10 digital images included with the option to buy more.

We will have a wonderful time photographing your baby! In this session, your baby can wear two outfits.

In this Classic session you will be able to pick 10 images from a selection gallery of 20. Book Now

Deluxe Milestone Session - $695

45 minute session. 2 backdrop/scenes. Your little one can wear 3 outfits. The session package includes the session and 20 digital images. You have the option to buy additional images.

In the Deluxe session you will be able to pick the 20 images from a selection gallery of 40. Book Now

Included in every session:

  • Access to my photo-ready baby clothes in sizes 3-18 months

  • Final gallery images will be delivered in both color and black & white

  • 3-month access to a private online portrait gallery to share with family & friends

  • The remaining images in your selection gallery are available for purchase.

Add-ons to sessions:

  • Add parent(s) to any session. Parent Sessions Add-ons are $295 and will add 5 additional images to your session package.

  • Add a balloon garland set to one of your scenes. Perfect for a 1/2 year or First Birthday sessions. $125

When Should I Schedule Baby Milestone Photos?

TIMING YOUR BABY’S MILESTONE SESSIONS:

Plan to come regularly to capture first year milestones. Your baby will change more this year than you ever thought possible.

Most parents prefer one of two options:

  1. The Traditional Milestone Plan: Many parents choose milestone sessions at 3, 6, 9, and 12 months. One session every 3 months OR…

  2. My Professional Recommendation:

    The Three Major Milestones -I recommend focusing on the three most visually significant milestones:

    • Tummy Time (typically 4-5 months)

    • Sitting Up Independently (6-9 months)

    • The First Birthday (12 months)

Whichever option you choose, both options will capture your baby beautifully while documenting the first year.

The Three Major Milestones: Recommended Baby Photography Sessions During the First Year

Tummy Time Baby Photography Session (4-5 Months):

This session is designed for babies who aren't sitting up yet and like to do tummy time or grab their feet. This is a wonderful time for your first baby portrait session because your baby’s personality has now developed and you can see it shining through the camera. The session will look very different than a newborn session because your baby is much more grown up, but still captures that very little/very first milestone stages.

During these sessions, we will work on capturing their smile and their ability to hold up their heads. This session typically lasts 30 minutes, but I'm flexible with session timing.  If your little one needs a break, we take one.  Sessions are relaxed and fun.  Plan on having a good time and lots of laughs!

Solid Sitter Baby Photography Session (6-9 months)

If you only pick one time to photograph your baby in the first year, this is my recommendation. This age is right when your baby looks like a quintessential baby. This session is designed for infants who can sit up on their own for several minutes.

Laughing, clapping, sitting, and maybe even crawling will be the focus of this session. Music will be played and your child and I may have a fun game of peek-a-boo to get some smiles. If your baby has new teeth, I will work on getting some awesome smile shots to show them off. The time in the studio is about 30 minutes.

First Birthday Baby Photography Session

A whole year has passed and it's time to capture that cutie with an amazing portrait session!  You may have a walker, you may not, but you will definitely have a big kid by this point. It’s incredible to see the change from the newborn stage to 1 year. We can do a traditional portrait session, or customize the session with balloons.  We will photograph your little one sitting, standing, and showing off all they have learned over the year.
