Studio Sessions for Babies 3-12 months
Capture your little one's first-year journey! In my studio milestone sessions, backdrops and props are kept to a minimum, allowing your baby to shine and be the star of the session.
No need to plan. My studio has a large closet filled with photo-ready clothing sized 3-18 months for you to use. Of course, you can bring your own outfits too. I have tons of backdrops, little chairs, photo-ready toys, etc. All you need to bring is your baby!
When Should I Schedule Baby Milestone Photos During the First Year?
TIMING YOUR BABY’S MILESTONE SESSIONS:
Plan to come regularly during the first year. Your baby will change more this year than you ever thought possible. From a tiny newborn to a curious, walking toddler, the first year is filled with extraordinary change.
Most parents prefer one of two options:
The Traditional Milestone Plan: Many parents choose milestone sessions at 3, 6, 9, and 12 months. One session every 3 months and you won’t miss a thing! This approach captures steady developmental changes — new expressions, sitting, crawling, standing, and personality growth — at regular intervals throughout the first year.

My Professional Recommendation: The Three Major Milestones - For families who want a more streamlined approach, I recommend focusing on the three most visually and developmentally significant milestones:
Tummy Time (typically 4-5 months)
Sitting Up Independently (6-9 months)
The First Birthday (12 months)
Whichever option you choose, each session is designed to capture your baby beautifully while thoughtfully documenting the first year.

The Three Major Milestones: Recommended Baby Photography Sessions During the First Year
Tummy Time Baby Photography Session (4-5 Months):
This session is designed for babies who aren't sitting up yet and like to do tummy time or grab their feet. This is a wonderful time for your first baby portrait session because your baby’s personality has now developed and you can see it shining through the camera. The session will look very different than a newborn session because your baby is much more grown up, but still captures that very little/very first milestone stages.
During these sessions, we will work on capturing their smile and their ability to hold up their heads. This session typically lasts 30 minutes, but I'm flexible with session timing. If your little one needs a break, we take one. Sessions are relaxed and fun. Plan on having a good time and lots of laughs!
Solid Sitter Baby Photography Session (6-9 months)
If you only pick one time to photograph your baby in the first year, this is my recommendation. This age is right when your baby looks like a quintessential baby. This session is designed for infants who can sit up on their own for several minutes.
Laughing, clapping, sitting, and maybe even crawling will be the focus of this session. Music will be played and your child and I may have a fun game of peek-a-boo to get some smiles. If your baby has new teeth, I will work on getting some awesome smile shots to show them off. The time in the studio is about 30 minutes.
First Birthday Baby Photography Session
A whole year has passed and it's time to capture that cutie with an amazing portrait session! You may have a walker, you may not, but you will definitely have a big kid by this point. It’s incredible to see the change from the newborn stage to 1 year. We can do a traditional portrait session, or customize the session with balloons. We will photograph your little one sitting, standing, and showing off all they have learned over the year.
